IFBA’s recycling program, begun in 2011, has been limiting its impact on the environment. Last year, the program kept roughly 536,000 pounds of reusable materials out of the landfill and created two full-time positions at its plant in the process.

Mission opens new center to help blind, visually impaired
With an oven, microwave, refrigerator and stove, the training kitchen inside of Mission Health’s recently opened Low Vision Center at Asheville’s Industries for the Blind looks no different from any other kitchen.
