Early Girl Eatery Gets Down for Bob Moog’s birthday
In celebration of Bob Moog, the Bob Moog Foundation and Early Girl Eatery joined together and threw quiet the birthday bash on Wednesday, May 23. There was synth music by Marc Doty, a raffle and delicious food, of course. Early Girl donated 20 percent of restaurant profits to the Bob Moog Foundation. The restaurant was buzzing with conversation about the musical innovator, Moog, and the foundation that shares his ideas with the world. Here are some photos from the party.

Moog Music Inc. on Broadway commissioned artists Dustin Spagnola and Gus Cutty (with help from Taz, Rob, Celeste, Philo and Ishmael) to put up a giant size mural of the man himself. Check out this sweet time-lapse video of the project.

Moogfest announces an art show, workshops and a contest
Three new announcements come from Moogfest, and none of them involve bands — though are some highly-coveted concert posters (proceeds benefit the Moog Foundation). And, if you win the contest, you could get to see a whole bunch of bands. Like, a full three-day Halloween weekend festival’s worth.
Moogfest announced preliminary schedule and local artists
Not every act has been scheduled, but Moogfest ticket holders can start to plan a course of action for the three-day event. Headliners have now been slotted for the Friday, Oct. 29-Sunday, Oct. 31 festival.
