I read somewhere once long ago about Steve Albini’s thoughts on live music. Basically, he posited, there are two kinds of artists — those who care only about the live show and use their recordings as a document of them, and, of course, vice versa. One of the national press photogs turned to another and said, “I just feel like there’s so much hate everywhere we go.” At first I thought they meant that the Secret Service was being too brusque, but as they kept talking, I realized they meant that they feel this hate as they travel around the country with Mitt Romney.

A colorful bus reminiscent of the Merry Pranksters Tour Bus took residence in downtown Asheville today to celebrate the conclusion of the Magic Love Bus 2012 LovEvolution Tour.
More than 300 participated in Asheville’s first Walk For Lupus Now event. Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease disease that causes inflamation. This inflammation can damage major organs like the heart, lungs, kidneys, skin and the brain. In North Carolina alone, the disease affects about 45,000 people.
