OK, so bloggers sometimes get pigeonholed. We all know the stereotypes of anyone who spends inordinate amounts of time in front of a computer.
That said, we try not to make any connections with the coverage of the death of Dungeons and Dragons founder Gary Gyjax by Arratik, Uptown Ruler at Scrutiny Hooligans and Spicy Elf, as well as Xpress’ own Steve Shanafelt. (Shanafelt, by the way, never needed an excuse to recall his D&D days.)
Such coincidence should not be an indication of awkwardness, such as slamming our thumbs in doors ala Girl Named Boo. We all have our obsessions. Fortunately for Asheville Beer Blog, who scooped this news about French Broad Brewing Company, that obsession goes down smooth.
Speaking of beer, test the power of the toast this weekend and raise a glass for Bruisin’ Ales’ injured K9 Bear.
Bloggers also took to the courtroom this week, with Asheville on the Ground, Dancewater and Gaia’s Tears joining Xpress in covering the case of the Freeway Blogger. But it seems that Fliss at Hangover Journals took another route, following Edgy Mama’s lead. Zen at Zenscription, meanwhile, spotted what could be the next flag controversy.
On a final note, remember to set the clocks and change the smoke alarm batteries on Sunday. Spring is coming, at least in Hendersonville.
