The annual gorging rite that is Thanksgiving has passed, which puts us into the downhill run of holidays that doesn’t let up until January.
Many of your blogs shared your thanks and your givings, like She Who Eats, who eschewed the turkey for the more Dickensian goose. And it would seem like locavores would have solved the urban turkey problem highlighted right here on the Xpress blogs.
Meanwhile, Tuesday’s Frog is already moving on to acquiring a Christmas tree, and Thunderpig is loading up on lights. Girl Named Boo, judging from this to-do list, doesn’t look like she’s stopping for the holidays.
The leaves are off the tree, but, as Skippy Haha points out, picking them up has its own eight-legged hazards.
And Asheville Beer Blog is lamenting that our own seasonal traditional libation may have run dry for the year.
The various colds, bugs and flus continue to ravage our blog community, and we at BlogLog track them for you. The latest victims? Sweet Mess and Hangover Journals.
Think you may need a break from the holidays and the impending winter? Take a break to go boogie boarding with GIS memories.
By the way, BlogAsheville, that comprehensive directory of local blogging, has a new look, so check it out.
