Terrorism has become the new byword. On the cusp of our country’s new leadership, it has become the 21st century’s scapegoat. As a result, we manufacture instruments of fear to permeate our collective consciousness. What becomes of us as a country, as a people, once we no longer have preconceived notions that the world is out to get us?
Perhaps those who have been in power truly believe they have done us a service by sending our loved ones to die; delusion truly is grandeur. What we, as a nation, failed to grasp seven years ago is that the world mourned with us when our innocents were slaughtered. All too easily, we ignored how many of “them” are among “U.S.”
Yet our anger has subsided and been replaced by something worse: fear, complacency and the notion that we are helpless. We have given up what we truly know is right for a false sense of security. We continue to watch in horror as the world embraces the notion of perpetual war.
Already our new leader reaches out with a call to embrace something greater. Just as he heard our call, so, too, must we hear his.

Terrorism is a scapegoat? Tell that to the victims. Hopefully this “new consciousness” will have a half life of 30 seconds.
What a better way to control people than by Fear.
Out of tragedy people come together in love. Why do we wait for all of our Freedoms to be taken away before we as Americans stand up together for our rights?
“Already our new leader reaches out with a call to embrace something greater. Just as he heard our call, so, too, must we hear his.”
“Our leader” has gone back on everything he “stood” for during his campaign. I reject his call, and so should you. He is just a man…and one that has been bought and paid for by elite corporate interests.
This nation is going to have some rough times ahead if you don’t wake up to the left-right scam.

Maybe when Obama finally made it in the office the true reality forced his hand in another direction then he planned.
Ask Not what one man can do for you, ask what you can do for your Country.
If you assumed that he had a magic wand and all would be good over night then you are mistaken.
Everyone needs to roll up their sleeves if we want a better life.
Rolling up your sleeves?
This illigitimate government gives the keys to the treasury to international bankers (1913 Federal Reserve Act).
Local governments run billions of dollars of surplus and tell us they’re broke and have to cut services and raise taxes (Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports Exposed).
Through environmental regulations, among others, industry and the real economic base is forced overseas.
And now, as the collapse begins, there’s an army of brainwashed fools telling me I have to “roll my sleeves up”…or what? Is this economic nightmare my fault for not going along with Obama and his compulsory service scheme?
There is no excuse for what George Bush has done to this nation, and you whould not be making excuses for Obama either…as if they even run anything.

Warrantless wiretapping, citizen disarmament, appointing lobbyists, ending imperialist foreign policy, closing Camp X-Ray…
I attempted to post this a few days ago, but it was blocked.
Has he really “gone back” on all of those? I understand the lobbyist part, to a degree, but as far as everything else, i dont see much to comment on yet. Has he done anything to “disarm citizens”?
Its not like he can be expected to “end imperialist foreign policy” in two weeks. I also wasnt aware he had passed any wire-tapping laws lately. Are you sure you got the right POTUS.
“Has he done anything to “disarm citizens”?”
-Look up HR 45 and listen to his chief of staff’s comments about the terror watch list at the Brady convention.
“Its not like he can be expected to “end imperialist foreign policy” in two weeks.”
-Why not? He could at least start.
“I also wasnt aware he had passed any wire-tapping laws lately.”
-He voted for retroactive immunity for participating telecoms, but okay: that was before he was elected.
Point is, stop making excuses. You saw what happened when people blindly followed George Bush. The same people who owned him own B.H. Obama. This is the bottom line that everyone needs to see.
Obama is definitely learning the complexities of the world stage and that his charisma may not be enough to ‘save the whole world’. The rest of the world has always had bad issues regardless of who our president is/was. You can ’embrace’ all kinds of nice things, but the world is still a hard place with hard decisions to make. Thinking that the ‘can’t we all just get along?’ philosophy is enough is extremely naive.
