From a press release:
Children’s book authors read at Malaprop’s on May 17
Children’s author Kate DiCamillo has called upon authors and illustrators to put Indies First and honor Children’s Book Week as volunteer story time readers at their local bookstores. “The point is to show up and to read aloud, to celebrate stories and to celebrate the indies who work so hard to put our stories in the hands of readers.” says DiCamillo.
Meet Kit Grady, Jasmine Beach-Ferrara, Allan Wolf, Alan Gratz, Wendi Gratz, Constance Lombardo, Denise Kiernan and Joe D’Agnese as they read from a children’s book of their choice and celebrate Independent Bookstores as a place to gather and share stories. 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014
