Potential $8M investment would create 50 jobs, company owner says
John Washburn walked into The Poe House in downtown Hendersonville on Thursday, past a display table with six-packs of his Bold Rock Hard Cider, then glanced at one of his company’s tall, wooden tap handles behind the bar, carved from a large cherry tree on his farm in Virginia.
“You can’t imagine how it is to go somewhere and see that,” said Washburn, looking visibly moved as he glanced at a blackboard that featured Bold Rock Virginia Draft in The Poe House tap lineup. “It’s quite a feeling to see.”
