Henderson County sheriff search committee promises open process

According to the Hendersonville Times-News, The Henderson County Republican Party committee charged with vetting candidates for sheriff has set up a schedule for interviewing prospects, soliciting input from Sheriff’s Office employees and releasing the committee’s findings.

“There will be no secrets. There will be no cronyism. This committee will be above board because we believe the citizens of this county deserve to know the answers,” Committee Chairman Andrew Riddle said Saturday, following the selection committee’s second meeting since its formation.
