Fundraiser for community FM radio station in Madison County

From a press release:

Fundraiser for community FM radio station in Madison County

The sure cure for WART is funding – and here’s your chance to help and have fun doing it.  WART is to be the new community FM radio station for Madison County.  It will be operated by the Madison County Arts Council and we’re having a fundraiser for WART.

Mark the date, Saturday, June 28th, beginning at noon. That’s when more than a dozen musicians and bands will converge on the island for a WART fundraiser. The music won’t stop until after the sun goes down.

The day-long concert is free – we just ask you to reach deep into your wallet or handbag and pull out as much as you can spare to help us get WART FM on the air.

We need to raise $20,000 and we can’t do it without your help.

Contact Charles Rice for information at csrice@usa.net or contact the Madison County Arts Council at 649-1301.
