Here’s the info from the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce:

Redistricting 101: Presented by Crescent Health Solutions
Date: Wednesday, April 25th 2012
Time: 3:30pm to 5:00pm
Description:

How has the 2011 redistricting affected you?

The act of redrawing the districts of North Carolina happens once every ten years and many know little about the process. However, redistricting can play a major role in North Carolina’s political makeup and landscape.

Join the Chamber on Wednesday, April 25, from 3:30 until 5 pm to learn about redistricting and how it affects your business. Dr. Michael Bitzer from Catawba College is one of the state’s foremost experts on redistricting and will join us to discuss the implications of the process. His discussion will go into the North Carolina General Assembly and Congressional districts and their political implications for North Carolina’s future. The Chamber hopes to educate and keep our membership aware of these changes as we head into election season with the upcoming May 8 Primary.

Many thanks to our sponsors for making this event possible. Presenting Sponsor: Crescent Health Solutions. Gold Sponsor: AT&T. Recognition Sponsors: Neo Cantina, Jason’s Deli, Sign*A*Rama, On Demand Printing and Design, City Bakery
