From a press release:
WNC Video Music Awards, Sept. 25
Bioflyer Productions introduces the first annual WNC Video Music Awards. Each year more and more local musicians and film makers are collaborating to create new and exciting visual statements. Yet there is limited opportunity for them to publicly showcase their efforts.
Now these artists have another forum to get well deserved exposure and support their local community as well. By entering this new competition they have a chance to win prizes and participate in an Eblen Charities fundraiser at the same time.
Each submission of a music video (must be under 5 mins) is only $15 to enter with a chance to win one of six prizes. 1st place: $300, 2nd place $200, 3rd place $100, with 4th, 5th, and 6th places each earning a $50 gift certificate. Judging will be by ballots collected from all artists and friends attending the showcase on Sept. 25th at 7:30pm in the Fine Arts Theater downtown Asheville. Each entry must show an address within a 50 mile radius of 28801 and completed within the last 12 months. Artists must register by Sept. 22 at bioflyer.wordpress.com
Bioflyer Productions was initially created by Rock Eblen in 2004 as his personal way of contributing to his family’s charity in Western North Carolina. The Eblen Charities is constantly seeking viable partnerships and alliances with other organizations which help reach out to those in need. Eblen has built a reputation for producing a variety of unique and exciting shows which draw upon a diverse group of local talent who volunteer long hours to create uplifting entertainment.
