Do you know a child who loves animals? Of course you do. Kids and puppies go together like summer and fun. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue invites children throughout the region to learn more about their furry friends at week-long camps designed for curious kids.
Critter Camp offers field trips, guest speakers and crafts, all while providing techniques to help children bond with the animals in their lives. Some of the highlights include demonstrations by local veterinarians and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Humane Alliance Spay/Neuter Clinic in Asheville.
This is Brother Wolf’s first summer camp and everyone is invited to sign up. In honor of this new endeavor, BWAR is having a contest. Children are encouraged to submit a drawing and essay about their favorite animals and the winner will receive a scholarship to the camp that matches their age group.
Camp schedule:
Grades 1 and 2: June 11-June 15 or July 16-July 20
Grades 3 and 4: June 18-June 22 or July 23-July 27
Grades 5 and 6: June 25- June 29 or July 30- August 3
