From a press release:

Poetry and Prose series at the West End Bakery, Oct. 11

The West End Bakery & Café is hosting A Poetry and Prose Reading Series this Fall featuring a rotating cast of excellent local writers such as Tom Chalmers, Alan Wolfe and Beth Keefauver. The series launched on September 13th to a packed house of patrons thrilled to have an evening literary event the whole family can enjoy.

The West End Bakery & Café , a long time West Asheville eatery, recently expanded their hours to include Friday and Saturday evenings from 6-11p.m. offering Biscuit Sandwiches, snacks, and treats such as Dessert Flights (small portions of several varieties of sweets similar to a wine tasting). The menu also features microbrewed beer, mimosas, and select wines, in addition to organic locally-roasted coffee and espresso. The owners of the West End are excited to host events like this Reading Series and Youth Open Mic Nights to bring new evening opportunities for fun family nights on the West side.

The Series will continue on second Saturdays at 7p.m. throughout the Fall including October 11, November 8, and December 13.
