From a press release:
Local company In Blue Handmade unveils a new line of custom instrument straps
In Blue Handmade, the top-selling leather shop on Etsy.com known for its handmade leather journals, wallets, totes and flask covers, is excited to unveil a new line of custom instrument straps. Each strap is hand cut and hand printed using a unique leather stamping process, buffed with eco-friendly dye, conditioned, beveled, and finished with antique brass buckles and rivets in the company’s Asheville studio. The straps are available now starting at $75. Check them out here.
“Our company and employees are rooted in the Asheville music scene, so creating a line of handmade instrument straps seemed natural for us,” said In Blue Handmade president Mary Lynn Schroeder. “Each strap is custom made to order, including text and image personalization.”
In Blue Handmade has experienced remarkable growth in 2014, now employing eight full-time Ashevillians and approaching $1 million in revenue for the year. The company’s wares can be found in a number of downtown Asheville shops and 300+ wholesalers worldwide. In Blue supports several Asheville organizations, such as The Asheville Art Museum, Asheville Area Arts Council, Asheville Hardcourt Bike Polo Club, Blue Ridge Roller Derby, and WNCW.
