PRESS RELEASE
UPDATE: Asheville Regional Airport’s new main entrance will partially open Monday, December 22
Asheville Regional Airport’s new main entrance will partially open Monday, December 22. The relocation of the airport’s entrance is part of a North Carolina Department of Transportation project to change the traffic interchange across the I-26 bridge at Airport Road.
On Monday morning, all traffic will be able to enter the airport at its new main entrance, located directly across the street from The Fairfield Inn and the J&S Cafeteria. The traffic light at the entrance will not be operational, so the exit lane at the main entrance will not open on Monday. All airport traffic will exit at the south entrance across from Butler Bridge Road and the WNC Agriculture Center.

The Airport Connectivity Quality Index, released in June 2013 by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), showed Asheville Regional Airport as the best connected non-hub airport in the United States. To book a trip or to learn more, visitwww.flyavl.com. |
