Asheville’s local chapter of Veterans Helping Veterans WNC(VHVWNC) is gearing up for a month long, citywide fundraiser in April 2015 to support construction and staffing at their new Community Center (opening May 2015).

Veterans Helping Veterans Western North Carolina is a local organization that focuses on helping Veterans successfully reintegrate into society as productive members of their community, by providing affordable housing and job training/job placement related to sustainability They work to aid Veterans who may be homeless, jobless, or suffer from post traumatic stress disorder as well as provide food and financial aid to Veteran families. The organization is hard at work completing their Community Center and will be engaging in a month long, citywide fundraiser in April 2015 to support local business collaboration and to generate funds to support their community center.

VHVWNC wanted to focus on collaborating with local organizations that already do their part to highlight and raise funds for non-profits in the area. Some of the events that will occur around town during April’s Pint’s for Patriots events include:
April 1st: Westville Pub’s Pint night
April 19th: Highland Brewery’s Community Night
April 20th: Oskar Blues Community Night
Several breweries are creating flagship beers that will be available the month of April with $1 of each brew being donated directly to VHVWNC.
