Biltmore Village will host the second iteration of the Bee Happy Vintage Market event on Saturday, May 2, at BB&T Insurace’s parking lot (9 All Souls Crescent) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Live entertainment and food and beverage will round out the open air vendor market.

Here is the full release from Biltmore Property Group:

On Saturday, May 2, Historic Biltmore Village will be hosting its second semi-annual Bee Happy Vintage Market brought to you by Emily Growden & Tracy Ledford, owners of Bee Happy Wares & Whimsies.

The market, a premier open air artisan, vintage, antique, and collectibles shopper’s paradise, will be held in the BB&T Insurance parking lot at 9 All Souls Crescent from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM, and will also feature live entertainment and wonderful food and beverage options. More than doubling in size since its first appearance in September, the market has been coined as a “unique boutique” experience, where each vendor space is like entering an individual open air boutique.

Festivities leading up to the May 2nd market will include a one-month staging competition within several participating Village stores. Shoppers will have the opportunity to vote on visual merchandising displays created by vintage vendors who will also be selling their wares in the Bee Happy Vintage Market. “These vendors will be taking a page from a Downton Abbey-inspired scenescape and creating spaces that pay homage to the Village’s Gilded Age foundations. We’re hoping that the public will want to extend their tours of Biltmore’s Dressing Downton exhibit into Historic Biltmore Village.

The Village was created as a community extension of sorts for the estate, and we want to honor that,” explains Emily. Prizes will be awarded to the winning vendor and corresponding host store as well as a randomly selected voter.  Participating stores include JoS A. Bank, Style, Talbots, and Chico’s, while Bee Happy Vintage Market details can be found in window displays at Lilly Pulitzer and Southern Highland Craft Gallery.
