When in doubt, throw an egg on it — that's the tack Another Broken Egg Café seems to take, judging by the menus of its two dozen (or so) locations throughout the Southeast.
The brunch chain will open a café in Asheville's Biltmore Park in early fall, according to spokesperson Heather Freeman. The address, 27 Schenck Parkway, is in the same building as Ya Ya's Frozen Yogurt. “The restaurant has French country charm, with warm sunny colors, and is upscale casual,” Freeman told Xpress in an email. “I order the lobster and Brie omelet.”
The café is a franchise, so every location could have a different menu, but it usually offers 11 omelets, six variations on eggs Benedict, a handful of skillets and brunch classics, pancakes, waffles, French toast and brunch cocktails. It's a large, classic selection that also includes gluten-free and vegetarian items. The chain started in Louisiana and, perhaps for that reason, many of the entrees feature Cajun spices and seafood. Crawfish, lobster, crab and shrimp dot the menu.
