Hot August Night 5K Race Information
Saturday, August 21, 7:00 P.M. at the Montford Community Center
Who’s This Race for?
Any runners who want to enjoy a competitive run through historic Montford. The 5K course will be a great way to see some of the beautiful homes and bed & breakfasts that the historic neighborhood has to offer.What’s the Entry Fee?
Adults: $20 (only $15 if registered by August 13)
Youth 12 and under: $15 (only $10 if registered by August 13)How Do I Register?
Fill out the entry form on the back page of this newsletter. Copy or cut-out the form and return to the Montford Community Center with check or money order made payable to the City of Asheville. You can also register online at active.com Race day registration will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Only the first 100 registrants will receive a t-shirt—size not guaranteed!Who Gets the Prizes?
We will award prizes to the top three male/female runners overall and to the top female/male runners in the masters division. We also will have awards for the top in each age group (14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and over). Overall winners are ineligible for age group awards. T-shirts will be given to the first 100 participants and door prizes will be awarded after the race. We do not guarantee t-shirt sizes.
