Aurora Studio & Gallery holds first artist opening on Sept. 28

New West Asheville-based non-profit Aurora Studio & Gallery holds its first opening for artists from the Aurora Studio Summer Sunlight Institute. The event takes place on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m., at the Vineyard, 717 Haywood Road in West Asheville.

According to a press release, “The mission of Aurora Studio & Gallery is to provide a safe and supportive art studio for artists in recovery from mental illness, addiction and homelessness; a studio where artists my heal, grow and thrive! Some art will be for sale. Light refreshments will be served. Donations to support the work of our studio will be gratefully accepted.”
