ArtFields 2014, an art festival held in Lake City, S.C., put out a call for submissions from artists in 12 Southeastern states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia). 400 piece will be accepted for a jurried competition with $100,000 in total cash prizes.
According to a press release, original work must have been completed within the last two years, and the online submission period is open between Oct. 30 and Dec. 13, 2013 at http://www.artfieldssc.org/artists/how-it-works/. Also, “Established and emerging artists may submit 2-D or 3-D pieces including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, digital media and installation art. Submissions will be accepted online and then reviewed by a jury of visual art professionals who will ultimately select 400 pieces to compete for the prize money. Accepted artists will be notified no later than January 15, 2014.”
Applicants must be 18 and over by December 13, 2013 and reside in one of the selected states. Only original artwork is eligible for submission and must have been completed within two years of the registration deadline.”
