Lionize at The Millroom on Monday, April 14
Rock, soul and blues trio LIONIZE will be stopping in ASHEVILLE on MONDAY, ARPIL 14 at THE MILLROOM for a headlining show in support of their new album JETPACK SOUNDTRACK.
Co-produced by Jean-Paul Gaster, drummer of the rock group Clutch and Machine (Fall Out Boy, Lamb of God, King Crimson) at the Machine Shop in Belleville, NJ, JETPACK SOUNDTRACK was just released February 18 on Weathermaker Music, the label owned and operated by the Maryland rock group Clutch. On the new album, the Silver Spring, MD group create an 11-song journey through their multi-faceted musical influences—spanning heavy rock, soul and blues, such as Deep Purple, O. V. Wright, Led Zeppelin and Solomon Burke. The album’s first single “Reality Check” showcases LIONIZE’s precise musicianship; they smoothly shift gears and smack you with a gargantuan hook at an exhilarating pace. LIONIZE—Nate Bergman (vocals/guitar), Henry Upton (bass/vocal) and Chris Brooks (keyboards and vocals)—recently wrapped U.S. tour dates supporting Pepper and John Brown’s Body. In addition to their own headlining dates, the band will be supporting Umphrey’s McGee at select U.S. dates this April followed by U.K. dates with Clutch throughout April and May. Following that, LIONIZE is set to perform on the Vans Warped Tour for the entire summer (6/13-8/2).
