Sustainable poultry scholarship available

Food Animal Concerns Trust is giving away a full scholarship to a Sustainable Poultry School training session running from March 7-11 in Marion. The SPS says the workshop will cover a variety of topics, “This comprehensive, week-long educational experience is for anyone interested in raising, breeding, hatching, marketing, cooking, exhibiting and preserving standard bred poultry. The breeder, farmer, consumer, chef and fancier would all benefit greatly from this forty plus hours of education. The week will include the nation’s top poultry specialists, live bird demonstrations and visits to local, sustainable model farms.”

FACT will be accepting applications for the scholarship through the end of February 17, with the winner announced by February 24. To apply, read the scholarship guidelines, download the application (do not complete the application in your browser as your information will not save) and email it to scholarship@foodanimalconcerns.org.
