Stretch It Out with One Center Yoga at the Gran Fondo Race

PRESS RELEASE:

Bicyclists who cross the finish line in this year’s Gran Fondo race on Saturday, June 18, in downtown Asheville, can stretch it out with One Center Yoga’s talented yoga teachers, from 10:30am –4pm. No yoga experience is required to benefit from these simple, effective stretches and poses geared to relieve tight neck and shoulders, calves, hamstrings, hips, and more.

One Center Yoga’s tent will be located near the race finish area at the corner of College and North Spruce Street next to Twisted Laurel. Mats and other yoga props will be provided. The studio’s accomplished and friendly instructors will lead cyclists through a short series of poses, designed to loosen up the body after the race. Come check out a unique prop called The Whale to safely stretch and expand the back. Cyclists can also participate in a raffle to win 10 free classes at One Center Yoga.

One Center Yoga has been offering all level, alignment-based yoga classes for more than 10 years. Cindy Dollar, studio owner, explains that “the studio’s mission is to provide accessible yoga to every type of body so that students can apply strength, flexibility, and steadiness of mind to their daily lives.”

This is a great opportunity to cool down and stretch out after the race. Your body will thank you! These stretching sessions are free.

Gran Fondo Asheville is a part of the Giordana Gran Fondo National Championship Series (GFNCS) and benefits Friends of the Smokies.
