APD conducting training at Isaac Dickson Elementary on Wednesday

Press release from Asheville Police Department:

Asheville, NC (June 22, 2016): The Asheville Police Department, in partnership with the Asheville Fire Department and Buncombe County EMS, are participating in a rapid deployment exercise at the current Isaac Dickson Elementary School (90 Montford Avenue) today from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. During this exercise officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians will be using radio channels to communicate.

Rapid deployment is an invaluable training that allows first responders to exercise procedures that train and equip them to instantly react to a potentially armed individual(s).
