Asheville, NC – July 15th, 2016 – An Evening with Mike Lewis, July 19th, 2016, 6-8pm

Fifth Season Gardening Co. Asheville Market will host a party one month before HempX Asheville to promote the festival and share information about what’s happening currently with industrial hemp legislation in North Carolina and surrounding southern states. Mike Lewis, founder of Growing Warriors and first farmer legally permitted to grow industrial hemp in the US since 1934, will be in attendance. There will be a special screening of the short film, “Harvesting Liberty, “produced by Patagonia. The public is invited to come out, get inspired, and learn how to get involved with the movement. One lucky attendee will receive a pair of tickets to the “Taste of Hemp” dinner with Plant at HempX Asheville. Lite bites will be provided and beer & wine will be available for purchase.

Fifth Season Gardening Co. has been Asheville and WNC’s source for organic and alternative gardening supplies since 1999. In addition to carrying an extensive selection of hydroponic and organic gardening supplies, indoor growing equipment, soils, amendments, animal feed, home food preservation equipment, and homebrew supplies, their newest location on S. Tunnel Rd houses the southeast’s largest brew-on-premises facility offering classes for homebrewers of all experience levels and space for group events and meetings.
