VA Mental Health Services Buildings Ribbon CuttingÂ
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Charles George VA Medical Center will host a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on November 29 at 10:30 a.m. for recently renovated buildings that will house its Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center (PRRC) and its Compensated Work Therapy program (CWT). The services have moved from their previous offices on the medical center main campus to their new location on Riceville Road at the physical address of: Buildings 5-6, Veterans Drive, Asheville, NC, 28805. The newly renovated buildings have maintained their historic look and offer a more convenient and recovery oriented environment for Veterans receiving care at the location.
PRRC is an outpatient multidisciplinary treatment program that provides a wide array of psychosocial rehabilitation services for veterans facing significant functional impairment due to serious mental illness.
CWT is a VA vocational rehabilitation program that endeavors to match and support work ready veterans in competitive jobs, and to consult with business and industry regarding their specific employment needs.
Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) Director Daniel Hoffmann and Charles George VA Medical Center Director Cynthia Breyfogle will be in attendance. Veterans, employees and the community are invited. The event will include a tour of the facilities and refreshments.
