Pardee UNC Health Care announced today three new members of its 15-person board of directors: Deborah Bell, a retired sales manager for the commercial and industrial lighting industry; Brittany Brady, president and CEO of the Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development (HCPED); and Thomas Eisenhauer, M.D., F.A.C.S., a general, thoracic and vascular surgeon at Pardee Surgical Associates. Bell will fill the seat left vacant by Jack Summey; Brady and Dr. Eisenhauer will fill seats left vacant by Dr. Bill Medina and Hall Waddell. Each new board member will serve a three-year term. Bell retired in 2017 after a 39-year career in the commercial and industrial lighting industry. She most recently served as regional sales manager for Hubbell Lighting in Greenville, S.C. Bell earned an associate’s degree in industrial engineering from Blue Ridge Community College and a bachelor’s degree in business from Montreat College. She resides in Hendersonville.
With a background in marketing, Brady started with the Partnership in 2010 focusing on marketing and business recruitment to ensure a sustained industrial base in Henderson County. In 2017, she was promoted to President and CEO of the organization. During her tenure at HCPED, she has assisted with nearly 40 projects resulting in more than $720 million of new capital investment and more than 2,000 new jobs. She graduated summa cum laude from East Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in child and family studies. She obtained her master’s degree in international hospitality and tourism management from the University of South Carolina. Brady resides in Hendersonville with her husband and son.
In addition to Dr. Eisenhauer’s role as a general, thoracic and vascular surgeon at Pardee Surgical Associates, he is also active on a regional and national level in the fight against cancer. He has been an elected Diplomat to the Commission on Cancer (CoC), representing the American College of Surgeons, since 1994. He is a surveyor for the CoC, reviewing other cancer programs nationally, and serves as chairman of the Field Staff Subcommittee, tasked with training and overseeing all national surveyors. He currently serves as the North Carolina State Chairman for the CoC Cancer Liaison Program and is a member of the Ethics Committee for the American Society of Breast Surgeons. Dr. Eisenhauer has also been a featured speaker at numerous national meetings, speaking on behalf of the CoC. He earned his medical degree cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He lives in Hendersonville.
Pardee UNC Health Care is a not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1953 and is managed by UNC Health Care. The hospital is licensed for 222 acute care beds. Pardee has several locations separate from the main campus, including a comprehensive physician practice network, a cancer center, three urgent care locations and five orthopedic clinics.
