Junior League’s “Touch-A-Truck” returns to Asheville Outlets Oct. 19

Press release from the Junior League of Asheville:

The Junior League of Asheville is pleased to announce our annual Touch-A-Truck Family Festival, Saturday, Oct. 19, at Asheville Outlets (800 Brevard Rd, Asheville, NC 28806). Touch-A-Truck is a community wide event where both kids and kids at heart have the opportunity to see, touch, climb and learn about vehicles of all types, including public service, emergency, utility, construction, garbage, transportation, and delivery — all in one place! Children will even get to sound the horns and meet the drivers and people who operate these vehicles. Children can also truck-or-treat throughout the festival — costumes are encouraged but not required.

Additional activities on-site will be food and beverage stations; not-for profit organizations, activity/educational tents; and several other special attractions. Parental supervision is required and cameras are highly recommended to capture the day’s adventures.

The Junior League of Asheville is organizing Touch-A-Truck Family Festival for the community to enjoy. It also supports the League’s mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving our community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

Last year’s event exceeded expectations with over 1,500 attendees from the Asheville community and the surrounding areas. Our Touch-A-Truck Family Festival offers local organizations a unique opportunity to showcase their brand and interact with parents, children, League members and the community in general. There are several ways for your organization to participate: event sponsorship, truck/vehicle exhibition, food trucks, or in-kind support.

WHEN: Saturday, October 19, 2019 11-3 p.m.
Quiet Hour (No sirens or horns): 11-12 p.m.
WHERE: Asheville Outlets (Parking lot next to Field and Stream on the south side of the building off of Ridgefield Blvd.)
Admission: $5 at the door per person. Children 2 and under are free.
