I object to the hypocrisy of your own local coverage policy as regards to greenhouse gases, which fails on grounds of being inherently global, giving them no place on your front page and vastly less place in local government policy than environmental contraception and abortion funding, which have vastly more local and regional benefits, such as the school tax and diaper litter.
Local government, International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives/ U.N. Agenda 21 and editors also have no place telling overpopulation activists that such funding is not municipal purview while perusing both global greenhouse gas policy and unit-density limits, [which are] obviously motivated by overpopulation concerns even though completely useless against overpopulation, inhuman and speculative.
Municipalities already fund abortions for nonresidents (commuting employees) so they can add reasons, recipients and dollars quantitatively, without crossing any significant lines, and being orders of magnitude greener than alternative energy.

Editor’s response: We always appreciate hearing from our readers. Our recent cover story on Asheville and Buncombe County’s efforts to run their operations with renewable energy passes our coverage test because these are local governments taking action locally, even if it is a global issue of concern.
WHAT!!!?
Did u inadvertently post a rebuttal to a current dispute you’re having w/someone…?
I think that’s just Alan’s conversational style in general.
I think he’s trying to say that overpopulation deserves more media attention. But I agree that reading Alan is kinda like figuring out the trick clue in the Sunday crossword puzzle.
U.N. Agenda 21? Welcome to Loonyland!
The Malthusian fallacy of overpopulation when it comes to environmental crisis has been thoroughly debunked throughout history and, uncomfortably, is tied to eugenicist movements that wanted to cull both the poor and “unfit”. Alan Ditmore has been saying this stuff for years, though the population control idea has recently resurfaced due to movies like Avengers: Endgame. In an era of climate change and right-wing authoritarian politics, lies like this are extremely dangerous as they may lead to a “climate apartheid” situation where the poor are left to fend for themselves while the “deserving” are left to run things. Lunatic right-wing extremist rantings like this one are what happens when as society fails to provide a basic standard of living for everyone and people start desperately looking for someone to blame for their problems. Do not believe anything this man says as he’s combining the ideas of the far-right with an “ecological” viewpoint. Dangerous dangerous stuff.
