The City of Asheville is moving forward with a bond project in the Five Points neighborhood. Residents along Fulton Street will enjoy a sidewalk spanning from 20 E. Chestnut St. to 71 Woodrow Ave. Construction is slated to begin in June. Prior to construction, City staff needs to speak with residents about the project.
A neighborhood meeting will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Jan. 14 in the City Public Works Building, Room 109, 161 S Charlotte St. During this meeting, residents will be invited to view the plan and ask questions. A notary public will be on site for homeowners to sign easement documents. Also, Metropolitan Sewerage District (MSD) will be on site to discuss the maintenance work they will complete before the sidewalk installation in June of 2020.

Affordable housing, $25 million;
Parks, $17 million; and
