APD responds to shooting on Deaverview Road

Press release from Asheville Police Department:

At approximately 1:00 a.m. on October 5 the Asheville Police Department responded to the 200 block of Deaverview Road after reports of gunshots. When officers arrived they found multiple shell casings. The front window of an occupied residence was struck, as well as a vehicle window. Fortunately no one was injured as a result of this shooting. 

This incident is under further investigation by APD’s Criminal Investigation Section. If anyone has any information on this incident they are encouraged to contact the Asheville Police Department at (828) 252-1110.

Since January 1, 2020 the Asheville Police Department has responded to 464 calls for service regarding a gun discharge or individual who has been shot. In addition, 36 individuals have been shot in Asheville during the same time period.
