Five days left to enroll in Affordable Care Act coverage for 2021

Press release from NC Navigator Consortium:

NC Navigators are working overtime to help North Carolinians enroll in affordable, comprehensive health coverage for 2021 on HealthCare.gov, the Health Insurance Marketplace established by the Affordable Care Act. The deadline to enroll in 2021 coverage is December 15, 2020, and coverage can begin as soon as January 1, 2021.

Throughout the remainder of open enrollment, North Carolina consumers can call
1-855-733-3711 (toll free) or visit ncnavigator.net to schedule a free, confidential, remote appointment with a certified NC Navigator.

“NC Navigators stand ready to assist consumers across the state in the closing days of open enrollment,” said Mark Van Arnam, director of the NC Navigator Consortium.

“However, appointments are going quickly, so I encourage everyone to act now and schedule a free appointment with one of our navigators,” Van Arnam said.

Virtual enrollment, either over the phone or through web-based services, can be utilized to provide high-quality assistance while maintaining health and safety protocols during the pandemic.

NC Navigators are trained to help consumers enroll in coverage on the Health Insurance Marketplace at HealthCare.gov, the online storefront that consumers can visit to browse and enroll in affordable comprehensive health insurance plans.

NC Navigators can help consumers understand the details of the plans available on HealthCare.gov, determine their eligibility for financial assistance, and provide unbiased support in completing the enrollment process.

New plans and prices are available, so North Carolinians who enrolled in a HealthCare.gov plan last year should log into the website to ensure their current information is up to date. New plans have become available that could fit new needs and potential changes in your budget.
