On Monday, Feb. 15, Down Home Haywood members will attend the County Commission meeting to propose an alternative “People’s Budget” to the commissioners. Down Home Haywood and other community members have been vocal in their opposition to the egregious spending proposal for the local jail expansion, citing it as a misuse of public funds.
