Businesses surrounding the proposed asphalt plant site in East Flat Rock are banding together to raise legal and advertising funds.
Rick Baldaramos, new owner of Lakemont Cottages (https://lakemontcottages.com/) announced March 23, 2021 he will match dollar for dollar the first $12,000 in Friends Of East Flat Rock donations received between March 23, 2021 and April 15, 2021. A minimum of $7,000 needs to be raised for the neighbors to receive Baldaramos’ donation, with a hope that $25,000 will be raised in total to fight an asphalt plant trying to rezone East Flat Rock. In less than 24 hours, neighboring business owners, Nancy Wilson of Camp Wayfayer (https://www.campwayfarer.com/) and Michelle Tennant of Wasabi Publicity (https://wasabipublicity.com/) rose to the challenge gifting a $1,000.00 donation each.
