Public libraries notice: NC Cardinal scheduled upgrade Nov. 11-13

Before you head out to Buncombe County Public Libraries on Saturday, Nov. 12, please be advised that Evergreen and the NC Cardinal catalog will be down for a scheduled upgrade Nov. 11-13. Buncombe County Libraries will be closed on Friday Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day, and they will be open with limited services available on Saturday Nov. 12. The following services will be unavailable:

  • Registering new library accounts
  • Renewing or updating existing library accounts
  • Placing holds on library materials
  • Renewing loan periods for items already checked out
  • Taking payment for lost items
  • Checkouts will be limited to no more than ten (10) items per patron, and patrons must provide their library card number at checkout

All regular services will be return when Libraries reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
