For a complete list of prizes in each auction, click here.
All proceeds from the carnival-themed festivities benefit the Children’s Welfare League, a local nonprofit dedicated to the education and welfare of underprivileged children in Buncombe County. More specifically, proceeds will be used for scholarships and for the 152 monthly stipends provided for select high school students in Asheville City and Buncombe County schools.
As quoted from a press release, “The Children’s Welfare League [was] founded in 1924 [and] is an all volunteer organization of women. … Working closely with the school guidance counselors, the students are selected on the basis of financial need, school attendance and their desire to achieve scholastically. The funds are used by the recipient for necessities such as clothing, books or transportation expenses.”
Dress up, dance, celebrate and support the Children’s Welfare League’s mission to serve the needs of underprivileged children in our area.
