Part Broadway musical, part Dr. Seuss send up, Seussical (on stage at The Parkway Playhouse from Thursday, July 28-Saturday, Aug. 6) is based loosley on Dr. Seuss' popular Horton Hears a Who and Horton Hatches an Egg. Characters from the Dr. Seuss repertoire, like the Grinch and Yertle the Turtle, make a showing and the hijinx are narrated by none other than The Cat in the Hat. "Seussical is an imaginative joy ride of a show,” says Parkway Playhouse Producing Artistic Director, Andrew Gall. In case it's not readily apparent, bring the kids. Performances run Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. $12-$22. parkwayplayhouse.com.
