Indie classic Built to Spill and hard-driving rock band the Black Keys will both play the Orange Peel. Tickets go on sale today at noon, for both shows.
Built to Spill will play Sunday, August 8. Black Keys will play Tuesday, Sept. 14. The Black Keys’ show is a night after the band opens for Kings of Leon at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Charlotte, so it’s pretty sweet that Asheville gets a date.
Also coming to the Orange Peel: The Crystal Method, set for Saturday, August 7. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, May 14, at noon.
Here’s a video for the first single off the Black Keys’ new album, Brothers.
Here’s a video of the BTS classic “In the Morning.”
I look forward to the copy and pasting of the band’s tour press releases in lieu of actual articles in future issues of the Xpress.
I like Built to Spill, but that show a couple of years back was the worst I’ve ever attended at the Orange Peel.
Orbit, I saw them at Cat’s Cradle and 40 Watt, and both shows were awesome. That was quite a few years ago, tho. I missed the Orange Peel show.
Bugg, we’ll be sure to paste ’em up for ya as soon as we get ’em.
