Everyone thinks their pet is the most adorable animal that has ever existed. Now it’s time to prove it. Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation is once again hosting its pet photography contest. Photographers and animal-lovers alike are invited to capture the essence of any animal who belongs in the spotlight—- dog, cat, bird, guinea pig or otherwise.
Sorry professionals, the contest is for amateurs only. “When judging the photos for Sarge’s Pet Photo Contest, we look for how creative the photographer was in capturing the unique and often fun or crazy qualities of the pet,” says photographer and judge Beth Brown of Beth Brown Photography.
Deadline for entries is April 9 and submissions, along with an entry form and a $10 submission fee, must be mailed to:
Sarge’s Adoption Headquarters at P.O Box 854, Waynesville, NC, 28786.
Photographs may also be hand-delivered to 256 Industrial Park Drive in Waynesville.
No digital images will be accepted. The printed photos should range from 4×6 to 8×10. Sarge’s Animal Rescue also asks that the photos not be framed or matted. Photos cannot be returned.
