Don’t be floating to the Bywater during Bele Chere weekend

Located along the banks of the French Broad River in Asheville, The Bywater is a popular destination for boaters during the summer months. Photo by Jake Frankel.

We hope y’all have checked out our Bele Chere Love it and Leave it guide that published this week. If you did, though, don’t take our advice and paddle or float to the Bywater this weekend, cause it’ll be closed. We highly recommend you do that at most any other time, though.

Here are a few other weekend closings:

– Battery Park Book Exchange & Champagne Bar. The Bele Chere crowd not so much the bubbly-sipping and page-turning variety, perhaps.
– The Grey Eagle. A traditional closing from this venue just outside downtown.
– Fine Arts Theatre. Again, a traditional closing from the downtown theatre.
– Craggie Brewing Company
– Wine Studio of Asheville (open Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday)
– N.C. Stage
– Asheville Discount Pharmacy

It only takes a moment.
