It looks like the locally produced romantic comedy For Catherine will finally get its long-awaited mass-market DVD release. The feature-length movie, which was released in 2005 and cost “less that the price of a decent used car” to film, will be released on DVD on Tuesday, May 22. The film will retail for $20, and should be available for purchase on-line at Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and will also be available through DVD rental services such as NetFlix.
Although production team 207 Pictures is hyping the new DVD as a release, it’s actually more of a second printing with better distribution. The initial version of the DVD was made available on a limited basis in 2005, and again (this time complete with special features and cast commentary) in early 2006.
