It’s easy to slip down into the couch cushions when A Charlie Brown Christmas comes on TV. Who can resist that sad little tree? But don’t let the inertia of the holidays keep you from rocking out.

Get out of the house while celebrating your favorite classic holiday movies at ZaPow! gallery’s opening reception on Saturday, Nov. 24. The gallery’s new show features art on the theme of cult movies. Think original prints inspired by Santa Claus Conquers The Martians and The Muppet Movie.

The Mad Tea will bring their infections surf rock and French Broad Brewing will bring the beer. Don’t forget your wallet to get a jump start on local gift giving.
