“I haven’t been able to play a show in a long time; the elements stood in my way,” writes local singer-songwriter Angi West in an email. “But thanks to one very smart bandmate (Seth), who booked this upcoming musical event, I have a chance to sing for anyone who might want to hear. I think my band and I have some sounds that really must be shared to be appreciated and I would love for you all to step outside on a Saturday night and walk down to the Emerald Lounge and give us a listen.”
The lineup includes local folk-rock outfit Ryan Sheffield & the Highhills, along with indie-rockers Company from Charleston.
West adds, “After such a long break from playing out I have a feeling we are going to sound majorly epic! So get ready! There will be wonderful surprises!”
The Emerald Lounge show is on Saturday, Aug. 31. 9 p.m., $5.
