Les Caison III shows in Black Mountain

“Les puts just a touch more in his art than you’d expect,” says the website of formerly Asheville-based artist Les Caison III. “Maybe you will see it with time. Perhaps your friend will point it out to you at the next exhibition.”

You’ll have your chance at Caison’s oil and graphite exhibit, Floating Women on display at Studio 103 in Black Mountain through Nov. 26. Opening reception Thursday, Oct. 28, 5-8 p.m. Halloween costume contest at 6:30 p.m., winner gets one of Caison’s 50 heart paintings.

According to the gallery, this will be its last exhibit. Owner Rebecca D’Angelo has been having a hard time juggling her photography business and the gallery, she told Xpress.

Also, here is a work from accomplished artist Noah Sulzman, age 9. He will be one of the costume-contest judges.
