Bicoastal producer Tim “MC T-Bone” Arem, who’s played a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and who lives in Asheville when he isn’t living in L.A., has a summer-long treat in store for parents who want to give their kids some screen-free entertainment.
We wish he hadn’t called the concert series Palooza (so played), but there’s little else to quibble with. The series, which began in April, continues with a show Saturday, June 16, at the Grey Eagle. (1-3 p.m. The $10 admission, part of which benefits MANNA FoodBank, includes a healthy goody bag and a variety of live entertainment.) Featured act for June 16 is Bill Harley, “the Mark Twain of contemporary children’s music” and 2007 Grammy winner for his album Blah Blah Blah: Stories About Clams, Swamp Monsters, Pirates & Dog.
Palooza Family Concerts continue Aug. 18, Oct. 13 and Dec. 15. See www.tbonerun.com for more info.
