The third annual Asheville Winter Warmer Beer Festival is slated for Saturday, Jan. 23 from 3-7 p.m. and (unlike it’s summery Brewgrass counterpart) is held indoors, namely: The Haywood Park Hotel’s Grand Ballroom.
The event is put on by local brewery tour experts Asheville Brews Cruise, along with ThreeSheets:Design, French Broad Brewing Company and the Haywood Park Hotel. Bands (to be announced) will perform, a portion of the proceeds raised from the festival go to support River Link and there will be snacks from a local caterer. But what’s really important here is the beer (the better to fill your souvenir mug).
Local brewing participants include: French Broad Brewing Co., Highland Brewing Co., Green Man Ales, Pisgah Brewing Co., Asheville Pizza & Brewing Co., Heinzelmannchen Brewery, Appalachian Craft, Wedge and Craggie.
From the Piedmont & Durham area: Catawba Valley Brewing Co., Foothills, Duck-Rabbit, Triangle and Big Boss. From Nashville: Yazoo. From Atlanta:
SweetWater.
Tickets run $37 per person and can be purchased online here. Event organizers say the festival will sell out, so buy your tickets early.

Actually, the bands have been announced. Brushfire Stankgrass and Woody Wood are scheduled to perform, reprising their appearances last year.
