Local author Sarah Addison Allen, who wrote the magical-realism novels Garden Spells and Sugar Queen, gives two local readings.
The first is tonight, Thursday, April 2, at the East Asheville Library. She’ll take questions and discuss her upcoming novel, The Girl Who Chased the Moon. Free, 6:30 p.m. Info: 250-4738.
Next, catch Allen at the Kaplan Auditorium of the Henderson County Public Library on Tuesday, April 14. This is the release date of the paperback edition of Sugar Queen. Mountain Lore Bookstore will have copies available for sale, and Allen will sign the books. Free, 7 p.m. Info: 697-4725.
