In case your Friday isn’t already slammed, here’s one more event worth considering: Agape at Ananda Hair Studio (22 Broadway St., Asheville). “Agape” is a Greek word for love — a love for humankind, to be more precise. So, fittingly, this event is a fundraiser for Girls on the Run and Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
Spreading the love is headliner Sunshine Jones of Dubtribe Sound System. (Dubtribe is husband and wife team Sunshine and Moonbeam Jones.) He’ll perform around 11 p.m.; local opener Kri from T.O.U.C.H. Samadhi starts around 9 p.m.
The event is by donation — give generously.
By the way, you can also catch Sunshine with Dubtribe at the Catharsis Party at Emerald Lounge on Saturday, June 4. The bill includes Candice B. and Josh Naster; tickets $15 at brownpapertickets.
